Our client and their spouse were not receiving the Housing Element in their Universal Credit from the start of their claim as UC said they did not report their housing costs when they reclaimed. Our adviser liaised with the local DWP Partnership Manager and the Housing Element was added to their claim and the client and their spouse received a backdated payment of £946.91.
